North Site Launch!
We are super excited to be able to announce that North Site will be officially launching on Sunday 1st February!
We’re so grateful for the way that the Lord has been leading us and providing for us over the past few months. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to invite people living in the north of the city to follow Jesus and live their lives to the full. We now have a great venue - Heart of England YMCA in Erdington. It’s visible, has space for growth and has great quality facilities. We‘re looking forward to partnering with them to help reach the needs of the community in Erdington, making a difference and extending God’s Kingdom.
We’d love your help and support in the following areas
Prayer: Please pray for all those involved in the site plant - we’re praying that as we launch into this venture, we’ll be able to build strong relationships with the Lord and with each other so we have a firm foundation from which to grow. Please pray for love, patience and servant-heartedness, but also strength, boldness and unity. It’s going to be a big change for us as we move from being settled in a large, stable, established community to pioneering in a smaller, more changeable and maybe less predictable one, where we’ll need everyone to step in, step up and offer help and support where and when the need arises. We’re really excited for the opportunities this presents to see the Lord move and to see people grow! Please pray that the Lord will be stirring the hearts of those He wants to join us as we look to grow in numbers and discipleship.
Serving: We need people to serve. Everything that happens at each site on a Sunday happens through teams of faithful volunteers. We’ve already seen people stepping up at both North Site and the City Centre site, but there is still room in all areas of our teams! If you aren’t currently serving on a Sunday team we’d love you to consider where you might be able to get involved.
Finances: Setting up a new site is costly. Following Vision Sunday, and the appeal for generous giving from Andrew and Rosie, we’ve seen amazing generosity as funds have started to come in. Thank you so much to those who have already contributed. Please continue to speak to the Lord about whether you are able to support us financially in any way, big or small as we press forward towards our target.
We know you may have some other questions, so we’ve tried to address some of them below, but do contact us if you don’t find your answers.
FAQs:
Who will lead the City Centre morning service?
Andrew & Rosie McNeil are going to be much more present at the CCAM service, stepping into lead as they are needed, as will Jon Solway. We also have other key members of our pastoral team - Pui, Narek, and Lauren, who will all be travelling between sites too!
Will there be provision for kids & youth?
Yes - we’ll be working out what provision is needed as the site starts to grow. From day one, there will be Kids provision for those aged 4-11, and we have a team ready and waiting to welcome the youth into our site! Other groups will become available as the need (and team!) arises.
I live in the north of the city - do I have to move to the North Site?
No, you can attend whatever site you want to. We would love those who live in the north of the city to prayerfully consider being involved but ultimately, we want everyone to be obedient to be where they feel the Lord is calling them to be.
