Alpha This Term
This term (starting April 26th) we're excited to be running Alpha. We'll be running this in The Black Horse in Northfield, B31 2QT.
This is a fantastic chance to explore some topics you may never have thought about and to invite friends who would be interested in talking about faith. It doesn’t matter what your background is: you might have never been to church before, never really understood the Christian faith, or just want a chance to re-examine the basics. So long as you have questions, Alpha is for you.
During each of the sessions there is a meal, a short film, drinks and time to chat around your table.
The short, 25-minute films are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues about faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like: ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘Why and how do I pray?’ and ‘How does God guide us?’.
Probably the most important part of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic around your table. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
